6 TIPS FOR YOUR HAIR CARE APART FROM JUST PUTTING COCONUT OIL

Well a lot of articles will enlighten you about the uses of coconut oil but there are certain aspects you must keep in mind depending on your hair quality and structure. Coconut oil is a must but what are the precautions and do’s and don’ts which revolve during the washing process has been highlighted here. We have listed down 6 tips for you to understand apart from just flatly applying coconut oil.

  • 1.       Keep your hair clean – No matter what products (shampoo or moisturiser) you are using with coconut oil. Make sure to keep it clean. Although it counters of penetration of your hair. But cleanliness must be a part of it. Try using herbal products, post cleaning you can again use coconut oil to keep the moisture alive or the scalp will turn dry.

  • 2.       Pre-poo your hair – If you feel your hair is too dry post the cleaning process, , then you can consider pre-pooing your hair with an oil of your choice.  Coconut oil is a great option for pre-pooing hair since it reduces protein loss that occurs during the wash process. So it’s advisable to apply pre washing your hair.

  • 3.       Co-wash your hair - Dryness can be categorised. Lot of people feel their hair entangles during wash. Need an extra boost of moisture? Then try co-washing your hair for that extra boost.  Extra boost means keep it soaked in water with an oil butter or shea butter. This will reduce the dryness.

  • 4.       Deep condition your hair – there are a lot of people who skip conditioning thinking it to be the add on process. Well its time you it back and make it an integral part after washing your hair. Coming to which product to use for conditioning, go for the once which mentions the word ‘conditioner’ or ‘conditioning masque’ on the bottle.

  • 5.       Steam your hair – If you want to skip the co wash process in the mid-week, you can go for steaming your hair. But don’t get into the habit of steaming regularly. You may end of losing hairs. It can be used up to twice on a monthly process.

  • 6.       Use the LOC (Liquid-Oil-Cream) method to moisturize your hair – Ever wondered how to look spic and span every time of the year. Go for the LOC method. In this method, the water moisturizes your hair, the oil helps your hair hold onto the water molecules, and the cream locks in the moisture. Search online for a detailed procedure. How to choose which is the best Coconut Oil in India?

Coconut oil can be used for multiple purposes food, home remedies, or beauty, hairs and many more. Apart from using it for multiple uses it has lots of health benefits too like immunity booster, balance hormones, constipation relief and many more. I have listed down below the benefits.
So to choose or rather take the given benefits it is equally important to choose the right oil because there are so many brands in the market contaminated. You have to choose it which is authenticated, branded and have a loyal set of customers. So we have listed down a list of check points before you finalize your coconut oil.
.
List of check points to choose the correct coconut oil:

     1.      Unrefined Structure

Coconut oil should be naturally processed and unaltered with any artificial process. Altered oils are bleached, refined & deodorized which can be very harmful for the skin. Altered oil are good for industrial uses. So make sure the oil is non-refined to an extent that it does not harm the skin. Lot of companies mix chemicals to give it an aroma which is fine.

2.      Labels

Check the labels and ingredients. Note that some brand labels will include the buzzword ‘organic’, ‘authenticated’ even though they may still contain contaminants, so check to be sure. Go for older brands as that instills a form of loyalty and assurance as people have been using it for quite some time.

3.      Safe Container

If its glass jars it’s the best, but for effective costing companies use plastic. So here comes the question of authentication as bad plastic containers will bring a bad odour and it will stick to the plastic. So check if its from authenticated plastic. It’s difficult for you to judge these authentications. So as stated earlier you can go for old brands.

4.      RBD Standards

The coconut oil has to meet the standards of RBD. RBD stands for refined, bleached & deodorized. So anything in excess or less can be harmful. So companies have to be extra cautious.

The bleaching is not the chemical process what you are presuming it to be, rather a filter process to eliminate impurities. Steam is used to deodorize the oil, since initial stage was copra. So the end results gives a tasteless or a bland taste with no odor at all.

People have a notion that unrefined oil are the best and on refining it loses its strength hence are not good. Well it’s not true at all. Almost all the companies go for RBD standards hence refining. These companies are there in the market for a long time and are doing pretty well.

It’s simple in the unrefined process; there are lots of impurities due to natural climate reasons. To get it removed, a small amount of nutritional value is also wiped away with impurities which are fine. You can use it now and can also term it as healthy.

So to conclude there are various brands in the market providing coconut oil in India but not all are properly refined and authenticated.

1. Parachute Coconut Oil

2. Patanjali Coconut Oil

3. Oriflame Nature Hair Oil

4. Forest Essentials oil

5. Shalimar Coconut oil in India

I have on a personal level loved Shalimar coconut oil. As its one of the oldest brand and sync with international quality standards using excellent quality materials, the offered range is also tested on various predefined parameters. Due to which it is pure, effective and non-hazardous in nature.

Tips to maintain long and strong hair

A proper hair care regimen is crucial to the growth of your hair. Constant exposure to dirt and pollution is the biggest reason behind regular hair problems including dandruff, hair fall, split ends and so on. The problems are many. It is easy to come across suggestions (regarding hair care) but equally difficult to actually get results. So, it is important to understand what really works for your hair and what does not. It is important to educate yourself about hair care and not act on each and every suggestion that you come across- indiscriminately. Provided below are a few tips with the help of which you can expect to maintain long and strong hair.

Pining for a lustrous mane? Know how to get it

Your hair normally grows 15 cm per year. There is little or nothing you can do to speed up the process. So, the first thing that should know about your hair is that it takes time to grow. Patience is key- and, if anybody tells you otherwise then he or she is wrong. Here are further details.

You need not wash your hair everyday if it’s not too oily

One of the major mistakes committed by us is that we think that we need to wash it every day. You aren’t helping your cause if you are washing your hair daily because your locks are weighed down by products in that case. The time between those washes is the time for your hair to grow. Give it time to breathe. Those who already have long, thick and processed hair can expect their hair to do quite well without frequent washes. Washing twice a week is adequate. If your hair is oily wash it daily with a lightweight shampoo.

Oil it on a regular basis

What do most of us do for our hair to fight the effects of pollution? We end up shampooing it every day. Not to forget, we hardly apply oil. Some of us even have the record of going for months without applying hair oil.

Don’t undermine the power of Ayurvedic Jasmine oil in india or coconut oil in india when it comes to addressing serious hair problems. Jasmine, for instance, is an effective anti-septic. It can combat any kind of microbial infection in your hair including dandruff. Plus, its fragrance is known to soothe your nerves. Once your nerves are soothed you don’t have to worry about hair loss.

And, how will you benefit by picking up that CoconutOil bottle in india for your hair? Coconut oil has strong anti-bacterial properties. Bacteria attack can not only affect our scalp but hair growth as well. Apply Shalimar’s Coconut Oil at least 3 or 4 times a week. You can do that before going to bed thereby allowing the oil to settle down on your scalp- let the root of your hair absorb the oil. Expect longer and healthier locks in the process.

Condition your hair properly

It is very important to use a good conditioner after shampoo. The conditioner moisturizes your hair thereby making it supple and more manageable. Leave-in conditioners are very effective for hair growth since they penetrate deep in to your hair cuticles thereby healing them completely. You are supposed to apply conditioner only on the end and middle of your hair. Otherwise your hair ends up looking greasy.

Use super absorbent towels

They are not your regular towels. We are always towel drying our hair after a wash – quite without realizing that our hair is super fragile when it is wet. The cuticle of your hair can be adversely affected if you are rubbing wet hair against the regular towels. This leads to frizziness. Instead of towel wrapping your hair to get rid of excess moisture- use the super-absorbent towels after washing.
